Both Diwanchand Group and Teijin Group abide by the same corporate
philosophy in conducting a variety of businesses and social
activities, namely, 'In harmony
with society, progress through employee cooperation and enhancement
of the Quality of Life'.
Initially
focused on the domestic market for high-end products, the
company soon realized the need to expand its outlets and operations
by using state-of-the-art technology to compete globally in
the high quality fabric segment. Since then, the company has
continuously upgraded its technology, culminating with the
ISO 9002 certification in 1999. The company is the only polyester
filament fabric manufacturing company to have been granted
the Department of Export Promotion’s product logo 'Thailand’s
Brand' - the symbol of high quality and international
export.
Marketing
Policy
Notwithstanding the fast pace of research and development,
and changing trends in the Fashion Industry, Thai Filament
has successfully met the needs of Domestic and International
Markets through close and active collaboration with its customers.
Armed with strong and skilled team support, the Company has
also been a pioneer in launching innovative fashion fabrics.
This is possible due to its’ policy of adopting hand-in-globe
approach with the fashion industry in the world and incorporate
similar innovative features into its own product range. Company
uses registered trademark 'BULOOK'
licensed from Teijin Group in addition to its own brand 'TFT'
which symbolizes the quality guarantee for high end Export
Markets.
Thai
Filament Textiles Co., Ltd., is one of the Textiles Manufacturers
in Thailand capable of producing the specialty 'Shin-Gosen'
Fabric, High Twist Silk-Look and the most popular Linen-Look
Fabric. These specialty products require top quality raw materials
and sophisticated technological Know-How that is supplied
exclusively by Teijin Ltd., TFT’s Japanese Partner.
These fabrics have the added advantage of ease of maintenance
requiring little or no ironing.
Since
the recession, Thai Filament’s marketing pattern has
changed totally. Before 1998, the Company used to sell more
than 75% to the domestic market as the Export Markets were
not price competitive while the remaining output was exported
to a few countries. Currently, exports constitute about than
60% of turnover - with buyers spread out over 75 countries
worldwide. All world-class designers and garment makers make
use of 'TFT Fabric'.
Strong
Commitment to HR Development
The management of Thai Filament Textiles Co., Ltd. believes
strongly in the individual’s potential for advancement
along chosen career path - hence the company actively supports
employees’ pursuit of higher academic learning. Management
team members also participates in regular training courses
and seminars organized by local and overseas institutions.
The Japanese counterpart, Teijin Ltd., supplies technological
Know-How to TFT by sending Japanese Engineers to supervise
machinery installation and offering guidance concerning production
lines, manufacturing process, and other technical issues.
In short, staff development programs are organized on a continuing
basis.
Thai
Filament Textiles Co., Ltd. has approximately 1,000 employees
of 3 different nationalities, namely Thai, Indian and Japanese.
In
the era of Cyber space, Thai Filament Textile Co., Ltd. is
using state-of-the-art technology to keep pace with the latest
IT development in the textile sector and to take advantage
of enormous opportunities. All factory locations are connected
by means of LAN and WAN networking, rendering information
flow available at fingertips. TFT also has it own Integrated
Business Systems package to meet customers’ needs. The
Company’s in-house software development department is
able to meet any demand for textile and textile-related solutions.
